3 Point Contest 2019 Odds
This upcoming weekend, the NBA will showcase their 68th All-Star weekend.
Across three days, NBA fans will see the skills challenge, the dunk contest, the All-star game itself and one of the hallmarks of the entire weekend, the three-point contest Saturday night.
Curry opened as the +190 fave in Three-Point Contest odds. Finally, the Skills Challenge will assess competitors in dribbling, passing and shooting drills through an obstacle course, with Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic opening as the +200 favorite. Doncic competed in this event in 2019 but lost in the second round to Trae Young.
The NBA 3-point contest will feature 10 competitors from across the league who are marksmen from downtown. We will also get to see the Curry brothers, Seth and Steph go head-to-head.
Odds To Win NBA 3-point Contest:
- Odds for NBA All-Star Game MVP, dunk contest, skills challenge and 3-point contest Zac Wassink, Yardbarker 4 days ago Florida City: Hundreds line up at vaccine site without meeting state’s criteria.
- Steph Curry and Seth Curry are both taking part in Saturday night’s 3-Point Contest. And there’s a bet: Whoever does worse has to pay for the Curry Family tickets every time the two of them play against each other. We figure that before the two go into the contest they should have a rough idea of what is at stake. So let’s get to work.
Steph Curry +200
Devin Booker +500
Buddy Hield +500
Joe Harris +600
Seth Curry +600
Damian Lillard +800
Kemba Walker +1200

2019 NBA 3-Point Contest Picks
Out of the 10 competitors, we have three past winners in Steph Curry (2015), Devin Booker (2018) and Dirk Nowitzki (2006). Seth Curry leads the pact with a 47.8 percent three-point field goal percentage this season. Nowitzki registers the lowest percentage at just over 31 percent.
While Seth Curry has not always been a bonafide starter in the league, he also leads the group with his career 44.3 3-point percentage.
Looking at the odds, Curry and Booker are justified as the top favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook. There are some intriguing prospects like Danny Green (+1400) who has made a career based on his three-point acumen. Also, how cool would it be for the 40-year-old Dirk Nowitzki to walk away with the award? At +3300 odds, that narrative would provide a monster ROI.
At +600, I’m all in on the “other Curry” brother. Give me Seth Curry to overtake not only an entire field of talented behind-the-arc shooters but also his brother. It would be quite the special moment.
.@ToddFuhrman believes Seth Curry is the play to win the 3-point contest at +600:

Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard are two of the best point guards in the NBA. Both are incredible three-point shooters and have given basketball fans memorable battles in the past. Get ready for one more!
Along with Curry, Lillard will be in the three-point shootout in Charlotte for All-Star Weekend. Charlotte is Curry’s hometown and expects to win. His younger brother, Seth Curry, will also be competing in this year’s contest, Lillard’s teammate in Portland.

Lillard has other ideas. When asked by Portland Trail Blazers beat writer Casey Holdahl, about competing against the Currys in their hometown, Lillard predicted he would beat Curry in the three-point contest.
Lillard has experience in this contest, competing in 2014 in New Orleans. In his only showing, Lillard did well, putting up an 18 in the first round, coming in third behind winner Marco Belinelli and Bradley Beal. Curry also participated in that contest, finishing in a distant fifth place.
Curry bounced back the next year, winning in New York. He almost won it again in 2016 but was edged out by his fellow “Splash Brother,” Klay Thompson. Lillard is looking for bragging rights this year.
Going by the numbers, Lillard will have his hands full with both Currys as both of them shoot better from three than he does. Steph is shooting 45 percent and Seth is shooting 48 percent compared to Lillard’s 37 percent.

But these contests are not played on paper so anything can happen. In what is already the best event of All-Star Weekend, Lillard’s claim just added a little more intrigue to the competition and there is no doubt that Stephen Curry will be ready for that challenge.
